Retort Chemicals Private Limited was founded way back in 1974 by distinguished technocrats Mr A. H. Mahajan, Late Mr V. D. Gaitonde and Late Mr R. S. Nadkarni. They had the privilege of studying in one of India’s premier institutes ̶ “University Department of Chemical Technology”, Mumbai, popularly known as UDCT, which sowed the seeds of entrepreneurship in them. Their extraordinary vision and business acumen enabled them to spot business opportunities in the field of Petroleum Dyes and Markers, Lubricant Colours & Additives, Fuel Colours & Additives, Oil Colours and Dyes.

Today Retort Chemicals has grown into one of the leading Indian manufacturers & exporters of Colourants for Plastic, Agro and Automotive Industry (Fuel) and caters to a wide range of customers, including Petroleum Companies, Lubricant & Coolant/Antifreeze Colourants in India and abroad. The company ensures all the statutory regulatory compliances in addition to being an ISO 9001-2015 (QMS), ISO 14001:2015 (EMS) and ISO 45001:2018 (OHSMS) certified company by British Standard Institutions.
